Practical Wisdomfrom the teachings ofDr. T.R. Khanna |
When Ego Dies We Have No Enemy.
We have to discard the negative aspects of existence, such as likes and dislikes.
Having very strong opinions, either positive or negative, destabilizes the mind.
Absence of duality is inspiration.
When our ego dies our center shifts from the ego to witnessing.
When we transcend the obstacles and obstructions of ego then all other problems vanish.
When all worldly tendencies, including our samskaras die, then we’re liberated.
If we’re always into the play of personality then when will we grow? We should be happy and jovial, but always be in consciousness and Absolute nature.
The wise don’t get turned on and turned off by things of life. They live in a state of transcendence, hence all their ego problems
vanish.
Ego love is possessive and very controlling. In that we experience all the duality, all the love / hate. If love gives pain, it means we are in our ego.
Ego-play and personality-play makes our mind a spooky house of restlessness.
The favorable and unfavorable sensations of ego create nothing but instability. When we are in soul consciousness there is security and commitment in a loving and living situation.
We have to be vigilant of our own pitfalls.
Ego is a habit. We pick it up unconsciously and it makes us miserable.
We have to turn off the switch of anger and hostility in our mind. Then we will radiate joy and witness every situation from the state of Supreme consciousness.
When we enhance our abilities, devoid of ego, then we will conquer anxiety and pain.
Supreme consciousness makes a vast and forgiving heart, whereas ego creates a stingy heart and mind. That’s why we should remain in our center of consciousness.
To get rid of our ego we must first become a witness to it. Then our problems will be finished.
Getting rid of the ego is an active process.
True open-mindedness is living in the vastness of consciousness.
When we are open only to the ego, we live in uncongenial, ego-filled pain.
